Created by the kids, for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

All patient artwork used within the Hope Gift Book^TM is created throughout the year at Patient Art Parties themed around the seasons. In St. Jude’s continuing effort to treat the whole child, patient art parties are filled with fun activities designed to spark a child’s imagination. Every patient receives a special gift for their artistic contribution as well as samples of any merchandise their featured artwork helped to create.

 

How is patient artwork gathered for use by the Hope Gift Book?

All patients of the hospital are invited to participate in the monthly patient art parties, to share their artistic skills with everyone and to enjoy the all-around fun activities that Patient Art Parties provide.

Patient Art Parties are held in the hospital, and each party is themed around the season, special time of the year, or around a specific holiday.

 

How is patient artwork chosen to become a product for the Hope Gift Book?

Every piece of patient artwork is reviewed, and artwork is chosen based on its relevance to the season or to the holiday and to the merchandise to be designed and produced.

 

Additional information:

Art of all levels and from all ages of artists is eligible and considered for use.

Even though only patient artwork can be used for production, siblings of patients are also encouraged to participate in the art parties if they would like.
